At Gemstone Bend Acres Dobermans, we take great care when selecting a male stud for our female breeding pairs. Our decision is based on several factors, including size, age, genetics, temperament, and training/obedience. We also consider whether the potential stud has a title, as this is a bonus. 

When evaluating our own breeding females, we ask ourselves what traits we like, what traits we would like to change, and how the potential stud could improve our breeding line. We understand that choosing the right male is crucial to producing healthy and well-tempered puppies, so we never choose a stud without meeting him first. 

We ensure that the male is sound and has a great temperament that will complement our sweet girls and their future offspring. We look for a stud that is intelligent, gentle, and kind. It is important to us that the male is comfortable around men, women, children, and other animals.
